Vic: Man suffers burns to face after firecracker explosion

MELBOURNE, April 11 AAP - A man suffered burns to his face when a firecracker exploded
last night at his home in Melbourne's south-east.

The middle aged man was trying to set off the firecracker when it exploded in his face
at his Louis Avenue, Warburton, home about 9.30pm (AEST), police said.

He was airlifted to Alfred Hospital where he was being treated for burns to his face.

The level of injury was not known, police said.

WorkSafe is investigating the incident, police said.
