QLD: Boy and father die in roadtrain accident

BRISBANE, Dec 10 AAP - A seven-year-old boy and his father were both killed when a
roadtrain crashed off a north-west Queensland road and into a creek.

The boy was on a school holiday outing with his 37-year-old father who was driving the
heavy vehicle when it went into a washed out causeway, coming to rest under water in the
creek.

A police spokesman at Mt Isa said the accident happened at 5.30am yesterday, about 5km from
the Century Zinc mine.

The driver had been delivering diesel fuel in the triple roadtrain from Normanton, near the
southern Gulf of Carpentaria to Century.

The names of the dead have not yet been released.
